Parent to Parent connects parents and caregivers with a trained parent "mentor" who has a child with a similar diagnosis and understands what you are going through.  They are trained to provide information and emotional support.

Family Matters

 Family Matters serves families who are facing crisis, trauma or overwhelming life challenges who have a child under the age of 18 living in the home.  Circumstances may include but are not limited to: mental health and substance abuse issues, grandparents or relatives caring for children, or raising a child with special needs.

PA Parent and Family Alliance

PA  Parent and Family Alliance offers Family Support Partners. These are parents who have raised or are raising a child with challenges that may be similar to the ones your family is encountering. FSP's have received extensive training to help you learn more about your child's challenges and understand available resources and how they work.

Allegheny Family Network

 Allegheny Family Network is a non-profit organization serving Allegheny County. 

​As a “Family Run” organization AFN is staffed by family members (parents or caregivers) with lived experience who have raised or are raising a child with mental health or emotional needs.  Several forms of support are available.
